[Pro] Still struggling with background image

Ernie, I feel a little less alone. Thank you for the kind words.

Laura, that’s good. Just remember, this list will be FULL of questions for
awhile – so don’t be afraid to give your experience!

We will all navigate the frustration together.

HI, Richard: In both Freeway file versions you sent me – one in 6.0.4 and the other in 5.6.1 – am I looking at a relative page layout? An inline layout? I’m seeing items with floats and so on. None of that is anything I’ve attempted thus far.

Will be studying it later, but it appears pretty complex for someone who hasn’t yet strayed beyond adding an HTML or graphics box in which to place information.

Just curious what kind of information I should be looking up if I decide to go this route. Thanks.

Hi Laura, that indeed is an inline box model you’re looking at. Sorry about that

I’ve never ever used the Relative Page Layout action so far, just because this works perfect and this -for me- makes perfectly sense: A toy in a box, box in a closet, closet in a chamber, chamber in a house …

I think it’s easier than you’d think, just toggle the wheel at the bottom of your Site Pannel to select ‘View items’ … that way you can see how it’s build and (perhaps) see the logic behind it instantly?

LOL, Richard. I did that toggling thing, but so far the logic escapes me. I think it’s all those options in the inspector to try and track and puzzle through. I hope to have some time to explore this all further tomorrow, but depending on time before I have to complete this for a client, in the end I may end up staying with my annoying, but understandable to me, simpleton method.

So much to do . . . so little time to do it all. The way of the world.

Thank you so much for your help and encouragement. I may learn this one day.
