Yes, the “body” tag is set to have black text but the body tag also
has the class style “navigation” applied and
as David mentioned, the “navigation” class style further down in the
CSS uses white text. That’s why it’s being picked up.

Yes. I took the style I created, deleted the name .navigation and made a tag style called #navigation with the name field blank.
The body text is still white in FW but previews black in FireFox.
I know there are two conversations going on here and it’s getting confusing!

But did you call the table/item that contains your navigation stuff ‘navigation’ in the inspector - Title.
