[Pro] SWF file on external server

Not sure if anyone can help here but…

I have a commercial site where I have several swf files that play audio tracks. Trouble is, the bandwidth on my host is far exceeding what they are happy with and I have to either remove the swf (not an option), move to a dedicated server (too much money) or move the swf to an external server.

I used the app audio2swf from Vertical Moon software to convert an mp3 to an SWF file.

I am not very familiar with Adobe Flash so am stumbling in the dark here. But I do have an host where I could upload the swf to, but what would I need to do to have an icon on the original site to click ‘play’ but then the swf is streamed from an external server?

Any help appreciated.

I may be wrong about this but I think that all you need to do is put your swf on the other server and then put an external link to the file in a markup item wherever on the page you want it to appear. Something like http:// findresults.site

Remember to size the markup accordingly

Check the relative file sizes of the swf and the mp3 - is the swf smaller? If not then why use a swf.
