[Pro] swf. to mpeg4 (for html5)

I recently upgraded to v.6 (Pro), primarily so that I could use the html5 capabilities. On one of my sites I have quite a lot of small swf. files, that do not display on an ipad. I understand that I can now convert these files into mpeg4 files, that will work on ipads.

Can anyone suggest an easy way of doing this?

Thank you!

You can try opening them in the QuickTime 7 Player, and exporting them as MP4 files. I am not sure whether that would work. You used to be able to wrap a Flash element in an MOV container, so the QuickTime plugin would play it, but that’s kinda old-school, and the plug-in (while available in lots more computers than you might imagine, due to the widespread installation of iTunes for Windows) is not what HTML5 video relies on by design. The whole point of HTML5 video is to get rid of plug-ins altogether.
