[Pro] Table and Freeze Form Item Action

Hi,
I created a contact form page as described in the tutorial. I have a table in it for the requested fields. I would like to have the same dimensions for this table in every browser so I add the Freeze Form Item Action to this table.
But I can’t get it work. I filled all the fields in the action window but any digit I put, my table stays the same in the browser.
I must have misunderstood something.
Thanks for any help.

You need to apply FreezeFormItem to each of the form elements, you don’t apply it to the table.

Thanks for your answer. And can I specify a text size for my table fields ? When I test my form online the text is a bit too small in every field.

Not in my Action, but there is another one called Form Element Styler (or something like that) which can. Be extremely judicious in your use of this Action, though, it is all too easy to end up with a form element that doesn’t look like a form element, which is a huge usability fail.

Revive this topic a bit. I also used the Freeze Form Action for my text fields that are inside a table, but it doesn’t seem to work at all. Configuring the action isn’t too hard, so I’m wondering why it isn’t working properly. Can someone help please?

Are you using the Force Width and Force Height sections and specifying values for them?

Yes, I have filled in the width first and set to 500px. When that didn’t work I changed that value and also specified the height. But still didn’t work.

Applied to a text field? That is very wide!

I am not seeing it on your example page - have you added it to all your fields?

Both name and last name now have 300px wide and 20px height applied to them with this action.

I don’t see any style set for these fields.

Just as a matter of interest, did you set id’s for these fields manually?

I am not seeing it in the code for your page.

Try it on a new blank page.

Crap! It was the Externalize CSS action again. Despite the boxes were also on my CSS page, the size didn’t work before. Now I exclude the CSS action from that page and it works.
