[Pro] Table borders

Is there a way to put an outside border in a table, without having borders in the individual cells?

I am having trouble controlling where items appear so I thought I would try tables in some cases. On my home page http://mvff.tripod.com/ in the “News” box is where I have had the most problems. It is an html box now and when I add or remove items it is often a mess. The image sometimes overlaps text, etc. Would like to make it a one column table with outside border. Each news item could be a separate row and maybe I could put my image of the fly in one of the rows. Would like it to look like it does now with the outside border meeting the New tab.

I have done that by creating a one row, one column, one cell table
with a border = 1, then inside that one cell, put a multi row,one
column, table with border = 0

I have just done something similar with a two column table inserted
inline into an HTML DIV. I gave the DIV a coloured border with round
corners which slightly offset it from the table. Looks quite smart and
keeps content lined up appropriately.

Thank you. Looks like this will work for me. If I put a graphic in a table cell, will it move when I move the table?
