[Pro] Target Show/Hide, Transition FX, Sound, in Google and Firefox

Hello & HELP!

On my computer/system, a web page posted last night worked fine on the computer in google chrome (still does), but when posted and accessed online, the target show/hide items (4) and Transition fx (1-2) do not load. To be clear, two of the T-S/h no loop items are small html boxes with about 100 words in each that load one after the other 8000 apart (~ 8 sec.s) no other actions applied, the last loading T- s/h are simultaneous loading, one an html box with sort of a mini web page - css- menus, shadows, corners, web ticker, txt, txt to window, and a gif button that also has a transitionfx applied to toggle the former show/hide. It took all day to find a combo that would do this – please tell me it will work!!

Funny that it shows while local, and breaks down on the server - Safari is good, and Firefox works but is clunky the first load, but Google stalls completely.

The page is here: http://www.class-e-ads.com/class-e-adswebsi.html

  • the developer tools just listed a bunch of JS errors with the twitter buttons, so I took them off. Not that I would make that much out of anything else was red flagged…

If anyone has time, can you tell me how to make the sound on the same site / Home Page / animation - play in Firefox? It is an Background Sound action mp3 looped.

Thanks so much, as always!

Frank H.

One of the problems I see is that the 2 HTML boxes overlap at larger text sizes and because there is no bg colour the top one obscures/occludes the one underneath.

Personally I would go for a far more simple before/after approach.

BTW animation sound works in FF 5.0.1 but I was looking for the MUTE button very quickly!

Sorry, I didn’t realize I was logged out and retried.

Are you saying your viewing there is 2 styles/text sizes, because I made sure they were the same… I am having trouble with ‘styles’ anyway, but I was going there later.

Your comments are appreciated - being new to this, I knew my objective was to have the old version behind the newer, and allow some scrutiny of both. Throw a path/combo at me and I’ll see if I can get behind it.

Thanks

No - same styles but different users/browsers have their default settings different.

For me in Safari the 2 boxes overlap

Heh heh,

Thanks again, Dave. My intention is not to annoy, thou.

Is it too loud? Or is it just too god awfully generic? It was free from iStockphoto…

I did want controlers for both that and the animation - maybe a kill sound button is available?

I couldn’t get a player to work with the animation that provided a control panel. Seems that good ol’ Scripty LB was the only contender for a .swf movie (Easy WA is broken with the last non-lion apple update - makes only swf’s and I’ve tried every converter I could find on the imbedded one and the other .swf files made with EasyWA).

Very seriously - if your not having the same problems I am on my MacBook pro, am I looking at system problem?? - any suggestions there?

YIKES!

I recall some discussions of this, no real way of locking it in besides a table - could do that if the T-s/h works within the table.

I did see a little overlap in FF but it looked kinda nice… Should have stopped there.

Thanks

This page http://www.deltadesign.co/examples/classe.html

Is constructed with a Div with the 2 TFX divs inline - the individual divs are set as Undefined Height.

If you view this page in Safari and ensure that under the View menu you have Zoom Text Only ticked. Then if you increase the text size a couple of times using cmd+ you will see the two boxes expand but the top one pushes the other down.

Oh! By making sure the height box is one of the selected, the box does not expand (I never realized this or forgot it). Now, I guess to comply with accessibility I need to set overflow to auto. Here I was building tables - that would have been futile. Thanks Again!
