[Pro] Text Roll Over

In the action Text Rollover, is there a way to change the font size from default (16pt) to say 12 pt, please.

How’s the dogs Walt? Good I trust!

If you insert the action in a run of text then select the action and a space or character either side then you can style it all any way you want.

Think of it like a sandwich, space-action-space, you can style the whole sandwich but not the filling on its own.

Brilliant Dave, I searched the 500 odd pages of FW Reference and must be so blind as to have missed it, ( must be the new Preview layout in Lion, not used to it yet) else I wouldn’t have troubled you.

My thanks, I’m on it now.

Thank you for solving my similar problem, Dave. Although there was no other text than what was being used as rollover and the text was in a table cell, I merely put a dot before and after the text the same color as the page and voila.

You shouldn’t colour any text the same as your background. Google sniffs for this and can penalise you for potentially having hidden text.

Why not just use a space either side?

There is an obvious answer to this, I’m sure, but how can you select a space before the text.

I am using individual cells within a table. When I go to select before applying the rollover action, I seem to be unable to select with a space before the text, after no problem. Possibly there is a command to select the entire cell including the spaces within?

Select the action item. Use the left arrow key to move the cursor and insert/type a space character.

Once you have a space before and after the action item you can Select All.

I was able to select with the spaces by typing a couple of spaces before the text and after. Still coming up with wrong size font from the action.

An online example would help us diagnose your issue. Besides - unless you use a non-breaking space you dont get multiple spaces in your html - the web view ignores multiples.
