I have a number of images that I’ve sliced (not clicking the slice option) together within HTML elements, so that they can expand according to each browser/user rendering. For example, I have three HTML elements nested in another HTML element. I took the image I want and ‘sliced’ into three sections in Photoshop. I chose them as the background images and tiled them so they can expand. You can take a look here: http://weddings.storymixmedia.com
Everything looks fine in Safari. When I view the page on my iPad, I notice that some of the ‘images’ have a space or line between some of the background images. And they go away / change as you zoom in/out. It seems rather random. I also was just told the same thing is happening on some Windows browsers.
I haven’t found any discussions about this, but if there are, please let me know. I’m sure I’ve got a setting (or two) wrong.
David Owen posted a thread about exactly this problem a few days ago but ther e was no great conclusion except about making the bg colour match. http://freewaytalk.net/thread/view/101990
Can you explain in more detail where/why you are doing it this way.
