[Pro] Tiny Browser for Tiny MCE

For a long time now I have been trying to get some help on installing the Tiny Browser plug in so my clients can browser their computer to upload audio files. Has anyone used Tiny Browser, and do you have either clear and concise instructions or a tutorial that would assist me?
I did read something that T. Kimmich had posted a while back but I was not successful.
Thank you.

What version of TinyMCE are you using? As I understand it TinyBrowser only works with Tiny up to v3.x.

I watched a screen cast that Thomas Kimmich posted but doesn’t explain how to install Tiny Browser. The install document is beyond my ability because I don’t understand where to put the files. It’s a terrible guide.

Looking for someone with experience with the Tiny MCE Editor plugin called Tiny Browser?

I’m looking for someone to give me a step by step instruction for installing it. I am willing to pay for your time.

Hi Billy,

I remember that we already spoke about all that.

The reason I can’t share help is not ignorance or arrogance, it’s way simpler:

“I once did it and it ended up in a fiddling orgy over days and a couple of experts to figure out what happens (or better what not happened).”

The reason btw. was very simple:

Not having the recommended read/write properties (CHMOD 777) on the server-side.

To prevent myself from this, I decided NOT to populate any kind of documentation (screencasts) about tinyBrowser anymore and herby never will in future.

But there is even better news than this (and another reason to declare TinyMCE and tinyBrowser deprecated):

READCTOR ( Redactor WYSIWYG html editor )

Max is currently on the way to rewrite the WepYep engine core. REDACTOR (including a File-manager) shall be the rich-text part of this reviewed engine. This is part of a longer history and will save him much, much time - cause it’s a matter of fact that 75% of time he invested of maintaining WebYep was questions about s**t Rich-Text editors. The downside of the story is, that I am not aware of any timescale.

Hope he’s coming round the corner with some good news soon.

Cheers

Thomas

Thomas, thanks so much for that info. I look forward to the new Web Yep from Max.

By the way I liked your responsive website design that I saw a link to through a thread with Caleb Grove.

Hi Thomas…
there is good news… all the editors have now been converted to use the new core updated scripts and yes redactor has been integrated and an upload and facility and a image manager and been added. At the moment I am creating the css for each editor so I hope to have something for people to test soonish
all the best max
