Has anyone done anything similar in Freeway 5? Looks quite daunting…

You can definitely use FW but you will need some CMS to handle the content - Perch will probably be a good fit.

This is my (incomplete, of course) interpretation of the original - tweaked
a little to improve readability but basically a fair representation of the
original in an easy to use template.

Sure looks like a Wordpress template, somehow.
The original was a custom CMS built by the company which appears on the
bottom of the original layout. They have a lot of similar layouts so my
guess is that it’s some small-time cms like Snews or whatever. Wordpress
could easily handle it, and I could build this layout in Wordpress as well.
Yawn.

One can absolutely ask that. I rebuilt the layout using Freeway Pro, so it
is a template that I made - to match the original as much as possible. I
would have made it better, but that was not the original question of this
thread. I made it more readable, and as a designer I think there should be
more variation in the layouts - but again, that was not part of the
original idea. It’s vertically flexible so it could be used with a cms -
I’m just curious what people think this kind of custom FWP template is
worth as I could build these things all day.

It might be a yawn for someone like yourself, Ern, to build a website like this - but I would love to know the best way of producing a simple site like this. Worth £10-£15 of anyones money!!
