I recently upgraded from Pro 4 to Pro 5, and for some reason the PHP form no longer seems to work properly on a client site, according to a client. (Makes me wonder if I’m having problems with other client sites as well.)
When I use my own e-mail address as the intended recipient for testing purposes, replies come to me. When I use the client’s e-mail address, as indicated in the form, she says she is not receiving it and has even been checking her junk file in case it defaults there.
I’ve currently indicated that “noreply@” be used, but the domain name doesn’t appear with it. Not sure if I should change from “noreply” to something else? Maybe I’m misunderstanding the directions that come with PHP Feedback Form. What’s generally best to use in the Missing E-mail Options? Or do I need anything in there at all, given that I’ve indicated the e-mail address is a required field and with my validation on, mailers get an error if they don’t include one or make a mistake in their e-mail address. (Curiouser and curiouser, as Alice would say . . .)
Is it possible there’s some kind of conflict with another action (like anti-spam) on the page? Is this something that may have changed with the move from 4 to 5?
I’ve been trying various options with the form to make certain it works as intended, but can someone with expertise look at the code and see if there’s something obvious I’ve overlooked or that may have changed with the move from Pro 4 to Pro 5 – and a subsequent update in the PHP Feedback Form itself? (My version is 2.3.2.)
Hi laura,
Try adding both your email address and that of your client in the
recipient field of the action.
For example;
email@hidden,email@hidden
The PHP should email both of you with the same form data. Now when you
test the form you should both get the resulting emails.
There won’t be a conflict between this and any other action on the
page as all of the form processing functionality is held in the
(generated) -go.php file.
If you are still having problems send me a direct email and I’ll look
into this further for you. http://www.freewayactions.com/product.php?id=con
Regards,
Tim.

Thanks, Tim. I’ll try that next. (Of course, my client – lovely person that she is – isn’t always too fast in responding to me, so it may be awhile before I know if all is going as it should.) But I will report back and accept your offer of more help should it come to that.
