I’m trying to use a TrueType font that, according to FontExplorer X Pro, is loaded on my system, but when I try to select font using the pulldown menu in a graphic item box I can’t locate it. There are hundreds of other fonts listed, but not the one I’m looking for.
Does Freeway Pro not play nicely with TrueType fonts or am I doing something wrong?

If you enabled the font in either the Apple or a third-party type manager application while Freeway was already running, you have to quit Freeway and restart it to see that new font. Freeway builds a cache of fonts at startup, and refuses to refresh it until it starts up again.

For the record, rebooting the Mac really shouldn’t be necessary to get a
font working. In this case, perhaps something in general was slightly
awry and the reboot fixed that. If it happens again or you notice other
unusual behaviour it will be time to start sleuthing.
