[Pro] Trying out 7, questions

I’m trying out the new version 7 with the 30 day trial period.

So far a very nice upgrade from 5pro which I’ve been using. But 2 questions…

I’ve been trying to use an “inflow” layout. So far I’ve had success with creating inflow boxes and then using relative spacing for layered objects inside those html boxes. Is that a “proper” way to do things. Coming from a WYSIWYG background I’m sort of winging it.

I’ve tried googling to get a little info on using inflow layouts but haven’t found anything. Any pointers to information would be very helpful.

Also, are folks using the preset breakpoints or should they be adjusted for larger phablet phones. Or should more be added?

Well - more or less: yes. With the inflow construction you need to make yourself clear, what positioning means. The two (and a half) possibilities are relative, absolute and fixed (as a special form of absolute). All three can be used together why I tend to say, that “framework” should be built relative, flavored by the rest as required. And there we are: To figure this out, the page already needs to exist - preferably in a graphic tool, but a sketch is fine as well.

I think most aspects are covered with this. As far as I remember there is even a chapter spent on this in the manual.

They’re fine - however I go an entire different route down the road. So yes - I adjust them.

Cheers

Thanks Thomas, I’ll check out the tutorial. Haven’t downloaded the manual yet, just the “getting started”.
