[Pro] type indent

Hi,

In a paragraph on a page - link below.

http://ourrites.com/ourites.com_fune.html

I’ve pressed the tab on the poem text to indent into the middle of the page.
This shows up on my page view but when I upload it, the type does not change.

Any ideas?

thanks

HTML compresses all repeated white-space characters (tab, space, etc.) into a single visible space on screen. If you want to indent, you can either use non-breaking spaces (option-space) or you can use style (padding, left-margin) to accomplish the indent. I would DEFINITELY use the style, not the spaces, since you’ll get a more predictable result.

A Tab doesn’t translate to anything on the Web - what you want to use is an indent.

Either apply a list style to your text using the List style of unbulleted or use the the inspector to add an indent

See http://www.deltadesign.co/fw_examples/textindent.html
