[Pro] Typinator & FW Not Playing Nice Together

Recently, Typinator has stopped working for me in FW. In fact, it crashes FW for me, and I contacted Ergonis about it, sending them my crash log, and I got this reply: “The log clearly tells that this is a Freeway bug: Freeway attempts to release memory that is no longer available. I don’t know why this happens when Typinator becomes active, but it has definitely to do with the Freeway’s handling of text input events.”

I did contact Softpress on September 24 and sent them the same info I sent Ergonis, but I haven’t received a response. Is anyone else having a problem with the two together? Any suggestions for me?

Hi Robin,

I contacted you the same day that we received your email. We tried
repeating the problem here but were unable to so I asked if you could
provide us with more information about when the crash was happening
and what sort of text you were trying to enter at the time (HTML,
graphic, in the Inspector, in the Action palette etc etc).

We are happy to look into the problem but won’t be able to do anything
if we can’t repeat the problem ourselves.

Joe
