[Pro] Upload, Publish Not sure what I'm doing.

I need to publish my new website but I’m having a heck of a time with the FTP.

I checked with my host and I have all the information correct in the upload box. But when I hit upload, nothing changes in the website.

I’ve done the FTP Mode in Automatic and Passive.

Does uploading NOT publish the new files?

Why are the new files not active on my site?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bill

Can you point us to a specific page that you have changed and tell us what the change was.

It may be that you have a bad case of Browser or Server cache ie your browser has the site cached (memorised) and shows that to you instead of the altered files.

Have you tried visiting the site using a Browser (or PC) that you haven’t used before? Does doing that show the changes?
