Does anyone know why some websites I have created in Freeway Pro re-upload all the pictures everytime I make a text edit and upload.

One reason this can happen is if you are using External Stylesheets
(it’s in the Document Setup on the first tab, I think). If you make a
change that affects a global text style – change a color, usually, or
make a style bold using the Edit Style dialog – then every page in
the site will become “dirty” and require a re-publish. Whenever
Freeway re-publishes a site, it recreates all the HTML and all the
resources for each page that is marked as “dirty” – containing
changes. Since one stylesheet can affect every page in your site,
having the stylesheet marked dirty is the same as marking every page
that links to it as dirty.

Also, you don’t mention what version of Freeway Pro you are using. I
believe there have been some efforts made on this front in recent
updates. If you aren’t at the latest version, it might be a good idea
to update to whatever the latest is.

One other reason that this can happen (thankfully very rare, anymore)
is if your Mac’s realtime clock is bad or has a weak battery, such
that your Mac’s timebase drifts a signifiant amount away from the
world standard (or at least from your server’s standard). Freeway uses
file modification times to decide which files need to be uploaded to
the server (is the local file newer than the remote file?).
