Hey I would like to use an FTP program to upload my Freeway Pro web site. I gave it a try but was unsuccessful and had to use the built in method.
I could see the pages and updated them and the parts as well but the site did not update. Can someone please let me know of a method for this please.
Happy Holidays!

In what way were you unsuccessful - you didn’t see the changes?
Did you try and view the site with a different browser - it may be that you have a caching issue and that is why you didn’t see the changes.
Post a link and tell us what we should see and we will have a look.

Is there a particular reason that you don’t want to use FW’s built in FTP - it is the most reliable way to ensure that all changed files get uploaded.

I like the flexibility of using an FTP program, I would have more control.
I updated the html pages and the pages do not refresh. It is as if there are more parts to each page.

But surely the object of the exercise is to get the new files to the server as easily as possible.
With FW press a button and put the kettle on - no thought process involved.
With FTP you have to think about which pages/resources have changed - or do you just upload them all to be sure?

Delta,
I, for one, don’t use Freeway’s built in FTP program on the final upload so I can process all of the images using ImageOptim first. When I’m doing the testing uploads however, I find Freeway’s option to be much faster and easier.
When I do use an FTP program (Yummy FTP), I usually delete all of the files off of the server first to ensure that I always am getting the newest site version. This might be was Steven has to do.
