I am having a problem connecting boxes in a table in Freeway Pro 5.5. I click on the first box then click on an couple of adjacent boxes while holding down the option key. Then I click on delete while adding the command key (Shift/Option/Command). Sometimes this works. However it constantly is instead creating a copy of the entire table. How can I avoid this!!!

Shift does a contiguous selection, I think. Select top-left, shift-click on bottom right, and you’ve grabbed all the cells in the table. They don’t light up as if you’ve selected all of them, but if you press delete, you’ve removed all of them.

Is it not the Shift key for multiple selections?
Then I just use Item>Table>Join cells and whatever is the shortcut for that. Cmd+Delete?
I don’t want all the cells, just certain ones to make spaces for text or for photos.
I have found a solution that takes time but works most of the time - do it cell by cell - joining just two cells at a time. Shift click on one, then shift/option on the next - then add command (holding down all three) and hit delete. It is when I try to add more than one, that I have the problem of the entire table duplicating.
Shift Clicking on several cells in a row works for me (no option key involved) then Cmd+Del to join them. Once they are selected you don’t have to hold any keys - just Cmd+Del.
