We have the possibility of re-designing a site for someone, but they have an existing online catalog with lots of features.
Is it possible to use Freeway to basically do the design part and have that tie into their catalog system? Or hand off the finished Freeway pages to the “techie” folks who run the catalog?
I’m not a coder, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing all the e-commerce and catalog part.
Sure. It’s a matter of pulling in dynamic content into what is a FW-
made template. There are actions that help do this general sort of
thing (Walter has a few) but it would still require know-how on your
part to get it tied-in and working. But as you said, you could create
the structure and let the catalog guys add the magic to make it
functional.

But if it is an off the shelf package then that is unlikely to be possible and it may be a case of downloading all the templates that come with it and rebuilding them in FW.
It is doable but I think that you would have to be pretty confident to take it on.
