[Pro] Using jQuery Plugin

I’m working on a responsive site in FW7 and I need to create a horizontal scrolling area - like the ones you see in iTunes etc - to contain a selection of book/magazine covers.

I’ve been looking at Owl Carousel and it seems to do exactly what I need… only I haven’t got a clue how I would incorporate this kind of jQuery plugin into Freeway!

Any help or hints would be appreciated… are there other easier options??

I’ve been looking around and found some examples of people on here achieving the sort of thing I’m looking for but so far I can’t replicate… any help or suggestions welcomed…

This page uses Owl - http://deltadesign.co/FW7Test/owlcarousel.html

What do you need to know?

Hi David, I found your example in another thread, it’s what made me look at Owl in the first place.

I’ve never attempted to include a jQuery plugin before and even though the Owl site seems to give simple instructions I’m just not sure how to translate these into Freeway. How does your example page look in Freeway?

It doesn’t look much like the finished product.

The code is added via Insert>Markup item

Okay, that gives me something to work on. I’ve been adding the script sections in Page>HTML Markup and trying to create the content area on the Freeway page in a div titled owl-carousel… the resulting code looks similar, but doesn’t work!

I’ll try it this way and see if that gets better results.

After taking a good look at you page… and a lot of trial and error… I have finally got it working!

Thanks for taking the time to point me in the right direction, having something built in Freeway to refer to really helped.
