Never heard of this sort of thing. Any examples you can share? What makes it a “video” site map?

No - nothing with 7 for Video sitemap creation.
Probably as well to use your Google Webmaster Tools account for that.

What makes it a “video” site map?
Apparently you can submit video information (URLs, descriptions etc.) to your Google account and they will display video info with thumbnails for your Video content - if they feel like it.
