Here I go, trying to push the boundaries again! There may be documentation on this, but I don’t know where to look.
Suppose my Freeway window is 1 x 1, and I have a 1 x 2 image – say of a statue. Can I use Freeway to incorporate the 1 x 2 image in a way that only a 1 x 1 portion of it appears at a given time, but so that I can drag the image continuously up and down to view the whole statue?
The easiest way to do this is to apply the image to an HTML box as a background image. This will cause it to center in the HTML box, and as the box grows (using percentage dimensions, perhaps) the image will un-crop to show more of itself. Be sure to set the background image to center center no-repeat.

Thank you David and Walter – my two reliable helpers! I’ll play around with your suggestion Walter – it would be nice to get the action within Freeway. Your two references look to be right on the mark David – exactly what I’m looking for. Do you know of any freebies that will do this? (It’s the Scot in me!!)
Cheers,

Just to follow up on Dave’s zoomify example. Here is a selection that has the full screen button enabled: Landscape Photography, Landscape Panoramas :: Scottish Photography by George Logan (Its the bullet point selection). I’m very impressed with zoomify, plus bonus for me is that its easy to implement. The main site here Freeway but the zoomify images are on FW created pages.
(Also on page 14Z.) I like it, and it’s easy to do (now!), but my question is, is it worth it? The default viewing square is 300 x 300 px and the magnification seems to be around 2.3. I believe I can get a ‘larger’ image within the 300 x 300 box by using a larger graphic? Or is there some fixed relationship between the two images? Can I increase the size of the viewing box? As it is on these pages, I can get the same magnification by displaying a full-sized image directly on the page without using Zoom at all. I would value your comments. With thanks, Paul
