[Pro] Web Design Contract

I’ve been asked to provide a web design contract for a project I’m working on. Does anyone have any advice where to start (besides paying a lawyer or legal site) or would anyone be willing to share a sample generic contract they use with clients? I think it can be very basic, they just want something in writing.

Thanks!

Doty

I looked this up at legalzoom and found this sample contract for $20. I’ve never used them before. But it might be an option…

You’re taking a big gamble. Always have something in writing.

You’re welcome, Doty. Do consider speaking to an attorney, though. While these online contract examples might suffice as a quick stop-gap but there’s really no substitute for a knowledgeable and experienced professional who understands things from a purely legal point-of-view.
