I have used Web Ticker before no problems, but for some reason now i cannot even get the Action to show up in the list on a new site i am working on, which is using InLine/box model design.
I am obviously doing something really stupid again…
Help please?

Yes that’s were i thought it would be, on my system it is included in the section that has the PHP feedback form actions … but not for this particular site…

Have you updated FW or logged in under a different user account?
Go into Edit>Actions and make sure the action is there and enabled.
If not there you may need to reinstall.

I have updated to 5.6.5 in the last couple of months and this would be the first time i have tried to use Webticker on another new site.
When i look at the Actions via the Edit option, Webticker is there and enabled. I have tried to reinstall and i still cannot find it when i use Item>Actions.
However if i look at another site that has Webticker already implemented the Action shows up perfectly and also when i select Item > Action.
Somewhat Confused !!!

Try copying a Webticker instance from 1 doc to the other.

I think i am going through another learning process here… the copy and paste worked (sort of), when i selected the Web Ticker action palette, it indicated that the Action can only be used on layered items… so moving to the move flexible inline construction removes this useful little Action from the options list …

I’m not familiar with the Web Ticker Action, but you might want to look at my NewsCycle Action for an alternative. It applies equally well to inline and positioned HTML boxes. The only limit is (page level > HTML 3.2).
