[Pro] Web Yep Loop

Web Yep experts help!

What I want: To have a Loop with a WY Image, Short Text and Rich Text.
I want the loop to add horizontally and centered.

I have succeeded with this when I use ONLY a WY Image.
See: http://smartytest.com/Sarah/index.php “Latest News”

The problem: When I add the Short Text and Rich Text elements the horizontal stacking breaks and everything is ugly.

Any help is appreciated.

Billy

It would help if you could post an image of what you expect it to look like somewhere, maybe a marked-up screenshot of the page in your browser, and what you see wrong with it. I looked at the URL you posted, but I cannot tell what I should be looking for. What is out of place? What was your design?

Walter, do you know Web Yep and the actions that are associated?

You might not be able to help if you don’t because I think the issue my be wishing Max F’s version.

Not specifically, but I have a LOT of experience with elements appearing to be on different lines in an inline layout in Freeway. I can’t see precisely what you are talking about in your layout, because I don’t know what you are or are not seeing that you expect.

Walter,
Ok so if you look at the section called “Latest News” you will see an image there “Alex Inc”. That image id generated by Web Yep and is constructed with a Loop Start> Image Element>Loop End. ALL in the same line. NO Returns.

This creates Subsequent loops that will render horizontally from the center of the page.

I would like to add a Rich text element in the loop that sits below the Image element. When I do that in my construction it forces the “Lopp End” to the next line. This in turn forces the loop to render on the page
flush left and will not let me render it from the center of the page anymore.

How can I fix that?

You’re going to need to either put the image into the rich text element (as part of the rich text) or you’re going to need to do some hand-coded CSS to force the layout to appear the way you need it to. If you can post the actual generated HTML somewhere, I can advise you better.

What would be the CSS to force this layout to render horizontal and center?
I’ve tried display inline-block, text-align center and that did’t work. Maybe I’m not putting the CSS where it should go?

It’s hard to say, without seeing the actual HTML you’re trying to influence. Float left would be a good place to start, but then you’ll need to center the object that these elements are within using margin: auto and overflow: hidden.

Ok. I’ll sent one up with the Rich text element.
