Hi everybody, hope everything is fine!
I was asked to design an iPhone-friendly site. I found the site linked here and would like to go that direction. It means: pictures that change dimensions proportionally and text flowing in the right direction…
Am I asking too much?
Thanx a lot

I’m fear you do (probably), cause this kinda design is called responsive and requires a lot of more and deep knowledge to achieve.
I have a personal opinion which is, that the average mortal freeway-user doesn’t achieve responsiveness with the current available tools.
The living core is inflowing items (BoxModel), all divs set to percentage width and a little bit of coding knowledge to collect styles in a new stylesheet.
There is an off-topic list from a while ago. Search for “responsive” on this page to reach it.
If soft press doesn’t add responsive design features in FW 6 then we will have to see how adobes edge reflow app turns out. Not clear if it is a new stand alone web design app or if it creates the final product you can add to your web app of choice.

My VISA card stands ready if softpress adds responsive design capability to FWP 6.
Great! Thanx a lot.
So here is another question. Just trying to take it step by step. How can I ask a layer content to change dimensions? Take a look to http://pulsecms.com , a link posted byHelveticus.
Ciao!

Thanx Marcel!
It seems a bit complicated…
I’ll take a look tomorrow (in Italy it’s 22.11 - time for a good book).
I took a look to the SPUR site. Very good job! Say “Hello” to Tandi, Courtney and Samantha!
Have a good night!
Andrea
am not sure of what you’re talkin’ about here, but responsive and layered will be hard to achieve. The described method sounds more as “redirect” which is long, long available in Freeway.
The real responsive is dealing with inflow items, set in percentage width of their divs - which will mean “BoxModel” in our terms:
