Hello I’m building a full width responsive site in FW7 like the example link. My site needs to work on the larges desktop size so would i have to set my default size, say to 2560px (I do feel this is to big? ) then work my way down.
My default page size is currently set to 1920px.
I can check at home, but, the way my settings are for desktop version of my site is that it is flexible so it will adjust up/down as necessary. My default was left alone @ 1024, but I have been at the Apple store and opened my site there and it was fine on their big iMacs.
No need to go as large because if you build your site correctly it will work at any size larger than your Default setting. I use 1260px - but that is just me.
A related question: I have repeatedly viewed the FWY Tutorial “Getting started with Responsive Design…” The narrator says: “The page is set as centered and the maximum width is set at 960 px; this makes it grow and shrink with the window, but stops it from going larger than 960 px.”
I have set my page exactly as shown in the video’s Inspector, except I used 1200 px max width. Yet it still can grow when I drag the window. Why?
