[Pro] Wish

I think it would be great if Freeway was integrated with iPhoto so that you could browse photos from iPhoto Library within, as in iWeb.

browse photos from iPhoto Library within, as in iWeb.

Back before iPhoto used a single ‘package’ file for its archive it
was possible to drag and drop photos directly from there into Freeway.

That’s no longer possible, thanks to the change in iPhoto’s image
handling. However, you can now choose File > Import from iPhoto and
browser your iPhoto albums and books in a dedicated dialog window.

So there is still a wish, which (sorry) is, to have an iPhoto import option in every dialog window where you can insert a picture, e. g. Slimbox action.

Btw K, you can in Finder choose show package of IPhoto Library and drag and drop photo in a Freeway document, and even direct from iPhoto, at least I could, no problem. Could it be that I run Tiger and iPhoto '08 (ver. 7.1.5) and you have newer software?

If you scroll down the left hand side of most import dialogs, you
should find a section called Media. iPhoto (and Aperture) will appear
under Photos.

I haven’t been able to find an instance of what you mentioned. What
particular import dialog is it you mean. Any example will do.

Are you running OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard?

If you are, draw a graphic box on a page, go to the File menu and
choose Import…

In the dialog box you get (it’s a standard system box), in the list on
the left side, right at the bottom is the Media section. You may need
to “reveal” it by clicking the flippy triangle. iPhoto should be an
option there.

Let us know if you can’t locate it.

Cheers

Guess it’s time for a system upgrade. It looks good from a Tigers
point of view  .

Ah, yes, there is that.

Leopard is worth the effort, I think.
