[Pro] Worldpay for Donations

Hi Everyone.
I wonder if you are able to assist me with this.
I have been asked to help a charity that already have a web site up and running, create a page for donations. They currently have a page that links to PayPal, but they seem adamant that they want to use WorldPay as they currently have an account with them and have negotiated ‘terms’ for their transactions.

They want to be able to accept either one off amounts or regular monthly payments. This was one of the link examples they have sent me https://donate.culturalsurvival.org/?reset=1&id=1

I have only ever used Mal’s in the past, using Tim’s actions, and am not too sure about creating a form that interacts directly with the payment gateway. As i enjoy using Freeway, I suppose this would be a good time to learn something different.

If anyone can offer any advice and suggestions on this, i’d love to hear.

I though Mal’s supports Worldpay?

You could quickly create a Mal’s button to make it post to payments.

Hi David.
Thanks for the reply. I do have a site that i’ve used mall’s and WorldPay on, but i was hoping there was a way to integrate freeway directly with the payment gateway without the need for mall’s as i was hoping to keep their ‘regular’ costs down and even though mal’s is fairly low cost, it is still a coast for them. Perhaps i’m just too conscious of their finances!

I have need done a recurring / regular payment though and wasn’t sure how to enable this facility. Have you done any of these?

Thanks… Al…

It’s very hard to avoid the middleman in these transactions. Especially if you want to do recurring transactions. The primary issue here is that you never want to be the one holding the “bag” with the customer’s information. Being allowed to do that by the card organizations means that you have passed a year-long evaluation process, have been assaulted repeatedly by white-hat hackers, had your physical facility evaluated for security, etc. Best to let those who have run that gauntlet have at it and give them their 4% or whatever. Not a job for mortals.
