I’m working on a website for a (dj) friend of mine. Used the Yahoo media player action on the site and it works fine. Website contains WebYep to edit most of the stuff.
Question: is there a possibility to let me friend upload mp3 files to a location (or his server) to be played in the media player?

can’t speak for yahoo media player, but for AudioJS it is in fact possible.
I am currently not sure if my WP part of the page is available or off ( …infight with my provider, close to kill em) but have a look at this:

It is basically possible (as you hopefully can see) under a couple of requirements:
Thinking the same way for yahoo could probably open a way (just a shot in the dark).
