[Pro] Z-index?

In this website I integrate WebYep CMS,

But my CSS menu disappears behind the WebYep item (top right)

I played with the Z-index and give the CSS menu an index of 99. After that the menu is on top but the WebYep rich text button isn’t accessible anymore?

Is there a solution for this problem?

Other point, upload the site to client ftp account.
the address is www.hreducare.nl

But at this moment I get an error when navigate to this address, it only works if I use: www.hreducare.nl/index.html

Is that a matter of time or is there a setting wrong maybe.

Thx as always for your feedback

Erik

area-navigation: leave it by now (99)

module-content-1: set it to something different then 99 (which it currently is) such as 10. This should fix it.

Your hosting company will need to fix this for you - open a ticket and ask them why the default index.html page is not being loaded on your server.

Hi Erik,

allow me some notes of minor importance:

First - cool, you kept up the naming from Box-in-Box Model screencasts. It’s like meeting old friends.

Here we are:

The “area” is meant to appear once each “section”. It is just there for justifying (mostly center). You named the navigation as area - I’d prefer “module” here, so “module-navigation”.

The z-index trouble-shooting is now to discuss the same prefixed items, in this case “modules” cause they are on the same hierarchy level. If it is not “modules” step one level above and think about “areas” (mostly not necessary) and then one step above to the sections.

Step 2:

I’m unsure about the “module-content-3” cause it is empty and looks pretty redundant. Delete it?

Step 3:

You run multiple H1 Tags on one page. This is possible in HTML5 - however you should then think about a method of turning DIVs into HTML5 block-level items.

Go and get the HTML5 action(s) from AF.

Select “module-navigation (you renamed it hah?)”, apply the HTML5 action to it and choose nav from the picker. It is now a

Select “module-content-1”, apply the action and choose “section” from the picker. It is then a

which can carry the H1 Tag.

Select the “WebYep-loop” and change its name into a more meaningful thing like “module-cms-content”. Apply a clearfix to it (cause it has floating items).

From now I’m a bit unsure how the webyep-loop is created - something manual - or really automatic? This is important to create the next step.

I usually do it this way:

The image (left) and description (right) get a “parent-wrapper” such as “grid-cms-desc-1”. In there I then put the “object-cms-image1” and “object-desc-cms-1”. Clearfix grid-cms-desc-1".

If loop - I then loop the “entire” grid-item.

The HTML5 trick now could be to apply the action to “grid-cms-desc-1” and choose “article”. So with each “new created article” you can have then one new H1 Tag.

Finally section-top and footer:

wrapper-footer is not really necessary cause section-footer is meant to be the “wrapper”. To the section-footer you could apply the action and choose footer.

The section-top could be turned into the HTML5 header item.

Gosh - worth a screencast.

Cheers

Hi Thomas,

I repaired the most points as you suggest.

About WebYep element:
It was created manually;

Straight in the “module-cms-content” I created an inline boxmodel with several HTML’s at the beginning the loop start, at the end the loop end.

By the Way
Still wasn’t abble to create the styles in Tiny Mce as you told earlier

Sorry - but can’t fix this for you.

THE LOOP

So apply the HTML5 action to item3 and choose article (or section) cause this is carrying each a H1 heading.

The loop has furthermore a specific problem of quirky invalid code, cause by looping, you create several IDs with the same name (ever and ever again with each loop new).

Am not sure if there is within the loop action a setting to prevent you from this. Probably there is something in the WY manual - but it needs to be addressed.

I had to do this for my WP as well and how can be watched here (if it is of interest):
