I am a graphic designer not a web designer so please bear with me. I am working on building a project gallery that has a project list that corresponds to multiple images. I have set it up with both show / hide target images and layers and I can’t get it to work the way I want either way.
Setting up a standard photo gallery is pretty easy but adding multiple images for each project is somewhat problematic. I have figured out how to make a separate page for each project but I can’t get the initial page views to look the way I want. The initial page view should look like this:
Please note the links are disabled here. Also Note that WORK is highlighted as well as Nike LeBron Museum and the number 1 which indicates you are looking at the first image for the project Nike LeBron Museum. It is also crucial that the first image in the stack is visible upon page loading.
Here’s what it looks like with hide/show target layer:
I like this version because of the nice fade transition. However, in the initial view, the first image is not visible and neither is the number 1. When I try setting the first image to initially: visible in the parameter menu, I am unable to see the other images when I click on the target.
Here’s what it looks like with hide/show target image:
Here I can get the image to show up on initial view but not the highlighted number 1. I could set the number 1 to be in the highlighted stage on initial view but it would stay that way when you click on the other numbers.
It seems like there must be a simple fix for this but I have not been able to find it.

This is difficult without seeing what settings you have associated

Maybe you could do some screenshots and let us see them
Speaking of which, how’s the grid experimentation going? I see that
the quartet of images at the bottom of https://www.buffalofamilylaw.com/ are effectively randomly placed and
are not related in position to anything else.
Also, what’s the purpose of using a secure site? I don’t see evidence
of financial transactions…
The grid os going better. I was looking at that earlier. They are
aligned to the grid but, because they are different widths they don’t
look it. So first I need to fix that. Second, I am going to align the
2 outer to the out edge grid and the 2 center to the inside… All
equal width to make it look better.
The upper boxes look more in line
It is this pictures. I think the mixed widths are throwing it off.
Thank you
