Project Management App

Hello all,

Sorry if you all know about this already but I discovered it yesterday and was so taken aback at how great it is that I felt I MUST share it here!

http://www.opengoo.org/

Really is a great, great thing…have installed it for my new web design site and already have clients using it, making comments on mocks etc.

It’s basically a free basecamp, has most the same features and even has a lovely design!!

Thanks for the link Fergus. I installed and set up ProjectPier (http://www.projectpier.org/
) on our server for my wife’s communications company. It’s a lot like
BaseCamp and is very simple to navigate and set milestones,
deliverables etc.
I’d be interested in hearing your feedback about Open Goo as you
continue to use it with your clients.
Kind regards,
Tim.

Yes, I’ve heard of Project Pier, think I had initially meant to try it out but then came across this and stuck with it!

I’ll probably be doing a wee review of it in the first ‘Freeway Forest’ magazine!

We have been using OpenGoo for some time now. It started of with some bugs and very slow. But now version 1.4 is so much better.
Our usage is project management and planning within our NGO (www.youngfocus.org) here in the Philippines and we are quite happy with it. The good news is that it will continue to develop and … improve!

Good to hear that folk are using it, as it’s more than worth it!
I’ve just started using it on version 1.4 so have no experience of the bugs but it great at the moment and I can’t wait to see what additions they make!
