Pulsating effect - possible?

Hi,
I am in the unfortunate position of having a client with no taste who wants a glowing/pulsating Buy Now button.
I was wondering if this might be possible using the MooTools SlideShow/Gallery SmoothGallery script/css and Action code effect - fading from one colour button to another colour.
Would this work oh wise ones, or, does someone want to do it for me in Flash - paid of course.

Thanks
Jonathan

The simplest way to do this would be to make an animated GIF. Photoshop/ImageReady would make this entirely painless.

Make a basic button, then add a glow effect to it. In PS3, use Window/Animation to open the Animation palette, similar in ImageReady for CS2, CS, and previous. Turn off the glow effect, then add a frame in the animation palette and turn the effect back on.

Select both frames and choose Tween (it will be in different places, depending on the version – hunt for it by name). Add one or two frames between the two (on and off) frames. Then select the last frame, and choose Tween again. In the Tween With picker, choose First Frame. This will get you an animation that loops perfectly back and forth between the states of glow and not-glow.

Unless you have Photoshop CS3 which no longer includes Imageready.

PS3 subsumes all of IR into the core app. The Animation palette is right there in the Window menu. Everything about IR is available in the File/Save for Web & Devices option. Although I wonder if you can still make Flash movies with it…

Thanks Walter - I’ll give it a shot.
I’m still on CS2, so IR it is.
