Pulse and Godaddy

Hi - Does anybody know if Godaddy and Pulse (CMS) will work?

It should be fine.

It is mainly GD’s sendmail stuff that is quirky.

Just check that your GD hosting package supports Pulse’s min PHP requirements.

Thanks it wont work because it needs PHP 5 the site im looking at is on 4.3.10 see here…

There should be no reason that GD cant give you PHP5

Or you could just move hosts!

PHP4 was “sunsetted” a very very long time ago. No security patches
have been issued for it in years – and there have been a lot of
patches for PHP5 in that time frame. Many exploits that touched 5
would probably apply to 4 as well, since they share a code base in
many areas.

I would be extremely suspicious of any host that didn’t require you to
run at least 5.1, and didn’t strongly urge you to run 5.2 or 5.3.
They’re just asking for you to be hacked, IMO.
