I’ve just added the latest update from Pulse Pro to a site and its really excellent.
Especially the Slimbox and slider galleries. Thumbnails and images now load lightning fast, where previously the thumbs in the Slimbox loaded at a snails pace, embarrassingly slow. You can now also drag and drop images into any order which is really cool.
The updates from Mark (who created Pulse) really are worth having. Although not the most powerful CMS in the world it certainly wins hands down with ease of integration as well as a non-techy back end. After struggling with a WordPress powered site that offered far too many options to get things wrong one of my clients loves her new Pulse managed site as it offers her just the features she needs to get the job done; http://www.janerobbins.co.uk/
The one addition that Pulse couldn’t offer was the events script which was easily styled and added to the Pulse backend; http://d.pr/i/1yXK
The best thing was that the integration was so seamless that she thinks it is all part of Pulse which is fine with me.

Tim.

Hi Marcel,
I chose this script in the end as it was one that looked simple enough to integrate as well as offered auto-removal of old events; http://newsscriptphp.com/eventscriptphp/

Totally agree. Mark however has stayed true to keeping it simple yet still manages to make improvements on a fairly regular basis.
Latest update is case in point: http://pulsecms.com/blog-63-pulse-pro-24
Its simple approach appeals to my limited brain capacity other cms are available.
