Hi there
I’m new to all this, but I’ve been reading your threads for a few days. I’ve been following the instructions on how to upload quicktime videos and how to generate them for iPhones and all of them are in the resource folder and all that…
BUT
I still can’t get it to work on my iPhone.
The poster frame only shows up if I press ‘view in safari’ on my iPhone, but the button to play the video does not, and it doesn’t respond when I press the poster frame.
please please help
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, believe me I’ve double checked all these threads here for an answer.
I really need this to work, I have a massive exhibition opening in 10 days and my webpage needs to be up and running.
The first thing I would do is sanitise my file names - at the moment your movie is showreelH264%20-%20Cellular-ref.mov
Space characters are invalid in file names (%20) and aren’t going to help your cause.
That also applies to other files on the web - stick to alphanumerics (A-Z,a-z and 1-0) and you can use _underscores and -hyphens too.
right, where do I change the file names?
(thought I named it index.html)
I usually just drag’n’drop my video files (after I’ve exported them in quicktime to make them smaller) into a html box
I’ve been following all the instructions about this I could find
should I change the file names in the resource folder quicktime creates when it exports them? I notice the names in there have space characters
