Quicktime Poster for movie

I’m having trouble getting a quicktime poster and the extend command to show a movie. Could this be a glitch with Freeway 5? I go through all the steps and everything works until I click on the poster. I then get a QT symbol with a ? mark. The files are located in the resource folder. I’m stumped

thanks for you time

What happens if you drag the entire movie to a new freeway page and publish? Does the movie you are referencing from your poster movie actually play in a browser all by itself? The question mark can mean that there isn’t a codec available to play that movie back.

If you don’t mind looking here is the page
http://www.evelynhubacker.com/recital2008.html
The first frame is the poster.
The second frame is the movie.
The third frame is my attempt to use the poster/extend then movie.
Thanks Waltd for helping

I don’t have a problem playing the third one, but it looks funny.
Could you please:

  1. Make one page with the combined poster + movie
  2. Turn on More Readable in the Document Setup dialog (it’s in the
    Output tab)

On your poster frame, don’t show the controller, but make the box
16px taller than the movie.

here is the new page

Of course, now it plays. The controller? is it always hidden?
The video is not the same size as the box but that’s ok since the background is black.

This looks good, but now the full-size movie is missing. All you need
to do is put a “scratch” page in your Freeway document (don’t link to
it) with the movie on it. Then the full-size movie and the poster
frame will both end up in the Resources folder, and all will be
golden. Alternatively, you can also use an FTP application to upload
the full-size movie manually. This will have the added benefit that
Freeway won’t get confused and try to upload it again and again if
you make a change to a site-wide style.

Thanks for taking the time to help. I loaded the movie on an independent page with out linking it. Not sure what that does but that’s ok. I haven’t had a chance to get back to the project to finish it up. I do believe that I need to get the size down so it will load faster.
Thanks
