re. Login Problems

I had to re-activate my account but having done that I’m having a
problem reading posts on the website. No sooner have I selected one
than the screen re-loads and returns me to the Welcome page. I logged
out and back in but that made no difference. I’m using Camino 1.5.1
with OS X 10.4.10.

Actually it’s OK with Firefox.

Sorry, that was fallout from a first try at the auto-login thing –
it spawned an infinite loop of javascript redirects!

Auto-login is working now. It’s not quite fully-auto, but it does
remember you from visit to visit.

It’s started doing this again in Camino (1.5.2). If I click on a forum
or topic it re-loads the ‘Your Lists:’ page before I’ve had a chance to
do anything. Again, it’s OK in Firefox.

I am seeing strange behavior occasionally in Safari as well. In my case, I see the reply form never reload the page. I get the green banner, but then the page doesn’t refresh to show the latest post. The post is made, so the mail is going through. But I have to close the window to get it to work again.

I am still trying to track this down, and would appreciate any reports that confirm this behavior or Roger’s.

I believe it may be related to the “Remember Me” functionality just added. Things seem to have changed at that moment.

Thanks,

Walter

I’ve removed the auto-refresh, just to see if I can narrow this down. There’s a link in the reply message to reload the page.

Roger, can you try deleting your “Remember Me” cookie in Camino, and see if you can get the problem to go away?

If that does the trick, I will have to take another look at how I enable this, so that it doesn’t become a problem for anyone else.

I deleted the freewaytalk cookie in Camino then logged in without using
the ‘remember me’ but it still does it.
