Actually, this has nothing at all to do with the subject line.
Threads are organized by the In-Reply-To header, set by your e-mail
application (if you are replying by mail) or by the Mailist software
(if you are replying by Web). There appear to be a few people using a
non-standard e-mail client, and when those people reply by e-mail,
they break the thread. I am tracking this down as we speak.
