rebuilding site with freeway document missing

Somehow my computer is randomly erasing what I’ll call primary document files. One of my sites is now affected, the freeway document is gone. All of the underlying files (html, .jpg, php, etc.) and the folder structure (css, Resources, etc.) are still on my drive.

Is it possible to rebuild the freeway document easily and have it link to all of the underlying files?

Well, you could try using the Import HTML feature in the software to see if Freeway can replicate it. However I think you’re going to have to rebuild it from scratch as once the document is gone there is no way to tie everything back without a process of copying out the Resources folder from the site folder and then importing these images and what not when you rebuild the file.

That’s too bad there isn’t a backup of the file somewhere. Do you have Time Machine enabled?

Number one, if your computer is doing what you describe, STOP EVERYTHING and fix it! First, try DiskWarrior. If that doesn’t solve it, seek professional help. (Or just post in the Off Topic area and we’ll see if we get get it resolved.)

Second, the best way to recreate a site is this method (I always find it by searching for “wall” in the Softpress Knowledgebase  )
