Recording software

I want to record some audio - specifically a BBC World Service radio interview (I’m being interviewed!).

I can obviously play the iPlayer sound clip, but can’t save it. Is there a Mac utility for recording sound clips playing through the computer? Or some free third party programme?

I downloaded Audacity thinking it would do the job but couldn’t make it work.

Do a search for iPlayer Downloader. It does what it says on the tin.

Hi Hugh,
I’ve used Audio Hijack Pro in the past to record live streamed radio (Rogue Amoeba | Get Audio Hijack 3
).
Regards,
Tim.

Hey everyone, thanks the suggestions!

Actually got into Google and found WireTap http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/wiretap/ which seemed to do exactly what I wanted, although it’s only a 30-day trial.

Will certainly download audioHijack for longer term.

Thanks all!

Me to, it’s great and can be programmed to record streams for listening at a
more convenient time. And not limited by the 7 day rule.
