If you have access to the old site you want to do a 301 redirect
If you edit (or create) an .htaccess file on the server you want to redirect from, and put the following one line inside it:
Redirect 301 / <http://your.new.server.com/>
This .htaccess file needs to be saved at the top of the Web root in the server you want to redirect from, and it will send all traffic to the other server, issuing a 301 Moved Permanently header in the process.
perfect. I do not have access at this time. I will talk to the paster
of the church to see what i can do.
Thank you so much.

I think your easiest method would be to create new pages named the same as any existing pages on the Church site and simply use the Timed Redirect action on these pages to redirect to the appropriate equivalent on the new site.
Upload these new pages to the Church site to replace the existing pages.
You will lose the Google Mojo that has accrued but I am afraid that is their fault for not hosting on their own web space.
There may be ways of keeping some of that Mojo but is it worth the effort?
Take the same pages I have done , name the same as the church site -
and use the redirect action to go to the new site…
so the old url will still exist. (in a matter of speaking)
I think I liked the first solution better. LOL
When I get access, I will let you know. Thank you for your help.
