resize window.

Okay, I’m only slightly embarrassed to ask this question. I have moved my extensive website operations from an iMac, with a large screen to a MacBook with a smaller screen. And the window of my page now extends beyond the screen of my MacBook monitor. In other words I can’t find a resize handle on the Freeway page so that I can resize the Freeway window, which makes matters very cumberssome. And I’m not drinking…yet.

Thanks, and I’m sorry.

Have you tried clicking on the green dot top left of the Freeway window?

If that doesn’t work a trick I have had to use in another application
is to change the screen resolution to a higher one (High as possible)
then resize the window down to a small size and change the screen
resolution back to the normal size, now the window will be at a size
you can get to the corner at.

Thanks but because the Freeway Screen is larger than I need, clicking on the green button only makes the screen larger, which does me no good. And I’m using maximum resolution.

But thanks.

What happens when you click on it again, should make it smaller if the
last time you clicked it, it made it larger, if that doesn’t work then
the only other option I can think of is to make the FW window smaller
on the iMac and then move the site over to the portable… that is if
you still have the iMac.

Keep clicking it. The behavior of the green button is this: first
click restores the window to wherever it was last, second maximizes it
to fit the current screen.

If that fails, then go to your local electronics maxi-mart (bringing
with you the little video dongle thing from inside your MacBook carton
down in the basement) and plug in a second display. Drag the thing
back where it belongs, disconnect, and hie off to the bar!

Check the screen resolution for each computer. You may find that the
laptop has a much smaller screen rez then the iMac. You can most
likely make them match at least the vertical rez and therefore see all
the windows as they were on both. It may look smaller on the laptop
but it’s about dots per screen width and hight.

Thanks for the replies.

I said that I would be embarrassed. The other monitor is sitting two feet away–thought of your solution while showering. Should have showered before posting.

Have a good weekend.

Or, you could buy this $15 application that is one of those things
that you don’t know how you lived without it once you start using it:

Zooom

You never have to look for the corner of the pages or windows because
you just use the key commands you set up and drag your mouse from any
point in the window/page. Works in almost all applications and is
especially good with all windows/panels in Freeway. You can demo it
for 30 days.

The problem has been solved even though the other monitor solution didn’t work. I resized the Freeway page on a different monitor, brought the file back to my smaller MacBook and it still filled the page with no resize handles.

Finally, in the View menu, I checked Tile and that brought the handles back.

Thanks.

This could actually be a handy little app, thanks.

Although I haven’t looked at it for a while you always used to be able to
address Freeway’s windows through AppleScript meaning it should be quite
trivial to write a simple script to put the window back in it’s place.
Glad you got it sorted though.

Tim.
