The interface design reminds me quite a lot of Macaw. Hmmm.

I looked into the package of Macaw (with Textwrangler) there are quite some files there with copyright Adobe.
I do not have any idea what they do there, of course.

I’m curious – what files were those? Adobe have released a lot of open-source libraries lately, particularly in the area of browsers and advanced layouts, and something may be copyright Adobe and still free for anyone to use. If you have a couple of hours, there’s a list of open source software used in iOS and Mac OS, if you dig into it far enough.

Inside node-core lives for exempel BaseDomain.js
with some remarks:
/**
* @private
* Implementation of base.enableDebugger commnad.
* In the future, process._debugProcess may go away. In that case
* we will probably have to implement re-launching of the Node process
* with the --debug command line switch.
*/

Then there is

ConnectionManager

DomanManager etc.

All of them js files.

Everything about Node.js is open-source, no matter who wrote it. The whole project is under the following licenses: https://raw.github.com/joyent/node/v0.10.25/LICENSE
