I need to rewrite the urls in a site. Is there some simple code I can add? example: changing "http://www.mysite.com/about.html
to : "http://www.mysite.com/about
or "http://www.mysite.com/about/.
Basically, I want to get rid of the file extensions.
Can anyone provide some guidance?

I’ve given an answer in the main Freewaytalk list. You don’t need to
cross-post to different areas here, it is a pretty active venue. The
majority of topics are fine in Freewaytalk. Stuff to do with serious
server scripting and the like is better kept to the Dynamo list, and
this forum is really mainly for people working on customising and
creating Freeway ‘Actions’, which are plugin-like feature additions
that can do all sorts of funky stuff.
