I should also point out that this is a beta release…

…and that it overwrites Safari 3, but not the nightly WebKit builds.

A note via the Oxford Mac User Group http://oxmug.org

If you rely on 1Password don’t install Safari 4.

Best wishes Peter

Hi there

The following note explains how to get 1Password working again
although the version numbers seem to be wrong for the version I
downloaded. Just double-check your new Safari version and change
following the instructions.

A note from Daring Fireball – if you rely on 1Password, you are using
an unsupported Input Manager hack, and you will run into other
problems as well down the line (like maybe Apple discontinuing support
for this interface entirely).

Also, if you use Growl notification in Apple Mail, it will cause it to
crash if you install Safari 4 beta. You have to turn off Growlmail in
System Prefs and also in Mail prefs, then Growl will still work on
your machine, but not in Mail.
