saving

I have been saving my freeway file and it saves fine… When I go to
open it … it is not showing as recent items viewed… so I have to
go to the folder and choose it… .
but then when it opens it opens as an untitled #

I am having this issue off and on… and it is getting really annoying.
Any suggestions?

Thank you!!
Julie

It sounds as though you may have saved it as a template, rather than
an ordinary file.

First of all, if you simply want to save what you’ve done so far just
choose File > Save.

Second of all, the first option in that Save As dialog, the one that
should be chosen by default, is the regular option.

(BTW, it isn’t a ‘popup’, it is a dialog, a particular kind of
window. Just mentioning.)

In the Save As dialog (I assume that’s what you mean by pop up?) it’s
the left hand icon.

I click save as…

Why Save As?

I would only do that if I wanted to make a backup copy. ie mysite090909.freeway for a backup of the file from 9th September

You only need to Apple - S (File>Save)

Even when I do that then close fw. When I reopen I have to search
For the file plus it opens as an untitled

Something isn’t working as it should - that’s what happens when you
save as a stationery. I suggest getting in touch with Softpress
support so they can talk you through things.

I looked at it earlier and I think it’s an improvement over what was
there before, although I can’t say it grabbed me in any particular
way; it’s curiously devoid of content. I just looked again, and
something odd has happened to your header; it’s dropped down to touch
the body copy, and the spacing is odd, almost as though that ‘swoosh’
between the words needs putting back.

Are you sure you are not opening the freeway backup file of your site, that generally opens as untitled.

Ty yea I have not added all content yet just looking at the basics
first. The only problem I have is the header moving etc… Per
deltadave there is no way of correcting that w the page bkgrd graphic
there? Any thoughts?? Anyone??
I really like the look of the difused edges w the pale yellow.
I am trying but I don’t like the plain background i want something a
tad unique.
Can Anyone suggest a way I can have it wo the graphic header and HTML
boxes moving?

Unique doesn’t really exist on the web - at least not for us mere mortals. Best we can hope for is a clean, easy to navigate and informative site that portrays your goods and/or services in the best light possible.
